When installing a new carburetor for the first time, spray the fuel inlet pipe with carburetor cleaner to help lubricate the needle valve. If you find that the plastic push rod is leaking oil, simply adjust the height of the float and lower the oil level to prevent the leakage.

If the white plastic push rod leaks during the initial carburetor installation, there are a few options to resolve the issue. Gently tap the top of the housing above the float, which should properly seat the needle valve. Alternatively, the top of the carburetor can be easily removed, allowing you to manually seat the needle valve.

This brand new aluminum carburetor features a choke cable on the driver's side. Before placing your order, please check the cable installation direction of your original carburetor, as we provide clear product installation pictures.

The applicable vehicle models for this carburetor are the 1963 - 1967 Ford Mustang, Fairlane, Falcon, and Mercury, as well as the 1963 - 1964 Van and Truck with 170" 2.8L and 200" 3.3L 6-cylinder engines.

Please note that if the fuel you are using contains 5-10% alcohol, you may need to enlarge the diameter of the main jets on this carburetor, typically by around 0.1mm. Our professional mechanics are available to provide you with installation and commissioning guidance.
